Shawna Blumenschein
Shawna is a born and raised Canadian with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. Recently she made the decision to return to school and is pursing a degree in Professional Writing. She's dabbled in creative writing for eight years and has published two novels under a pen name. She is actively working on a third manuscript and hopes to one day sign with a major publisher.
Shawna is also an avid video and computer game player. She has been playing video games for roughly eighteen years and has an affinity for most genres. Shawna enjoys shooters, RPGs, RTS, action/adventure games, simulation and city building games, and MMORPGs (mostly World of Warcraft). On occasion, she likes to revisit her classic games, such as the King's Quest and Police Quest series.
Her other interests include feminist and women's issues, particularly the portrayal of women in media and entertainment; animals; television, particularly science fiction; and music.
Shawna also writes for Max360Gaming, her region's Crime Stoppers magazine, and is the Canada Girl Gamer Examiner.
